NEW DELHI, Oct 6 (Bernama) -- Katrina Ann Abdul Hadi's hopes of winning a medal in the solo Synchronized Swimming technical routine drowned in the pool, when she lost to Lauren Smith of Scotland, by a single point.
Katrina Ann was awarded 39.667 points in execution and 39.167 points in overall impression for a total of 78.834 points, but Smith with 79.834 points bagged the bronze medal.
Canadian Marie-Pi Bourdreau-Gagnon ruled supreme in the event with 95.334 points for the gold while Jenna Randall of England with 89.166 points finished with the silver.
Meanwhile, Malaysia also suffered a similar fate in the duet when Lee Zhien Huey and Png Hui Chuen could only manage fourth placing with 74.667 points.
In the duet, Canada bagged another gold through Marie-Pi and Chloe Isaac who collected 95 points, England's Olivia Allison and Jenna Randall scored 88.500 to secure the silver while Eloise Amberger and Sarah Bombell of Australia won the bronze with 78.500 points.
