KUALA LUMPUR: Here’s a chance for Malaysian sports officials to kill two birds with one stone – gain employment and be part of the New Delhi Commonwealth Games in October.
The organisers are looking for experienced officials to serve in the various committees. And two top officials from the organising committee will be here on Thursday and Friday to conduct interviews.
The Delhi 2010 Organising Committee want to hire experienced personnel in the areas of venue operations, sports, sports presentation, transportation and logistics.
They also need people with experience in aquatics, badminton, cycling, lawn bowls, netball, rugby Sevens and table tennis.
Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) secretary general Datuk Sieh Kok Chi said this was a chance for Malaysian officials to be part of the Games.
“People with special skills in other sports may be considered as well. Successful persons will be offered employment starting from March till the completion of the Games,” he said.
He urged those interested in the offer to submit their letters of intent, together with their resume, to the OCM by today.
